OPUS 12 Scientist (ISSN 1940-8633) seeks original articles, editorials, historical and current reviews, letters and case reports, and descriptions of clinical care, medical equipment, and various procedural techniques as they relate to the areas of OPUS 12 Foundation’s scope or research activities. Such articles can be evidence-based and can include pharmacology of drugs and therapies as well as the cellular and molecular mechanisms of disease states. Scientific reports of original research in such areas as economic policy, ethics, law, and health care delivery are also welcome. The Journal has not introduced specific space constraints, or placed a limit on the number of figures. However, authors are encouraged to present their work succinctly.
All review articles undergo the same peer-review and editorial process as original research reports. They can be written for the general physician or specialists. All articles and data sources reviewed should include information about the specific type of study or analysis, population, intervention, exposure, and test or outcomes.
Editorials usually provide commentary and are nearly always solicited, although unsolicited editorials may occasionally be considered.
Letters to the editor provide a forum for readers to comment about articles recently published, and serve as a place to publish concise correspondence, such as reports of novel cases and research.
Case reports are well-researched cases that are unique or contain an educational message that is valuable to our readership.
Additional sections of the journal may also be published from time to time. These include: (a) Image of the month, (b) ABSITE corner, (c) Critical Care corner, and (d) other sub-sections as deemed appropriate by the Editorial Board.
